Our 100 Days+: Resourcing the Immigrant Justice Movement from the Northwest to the Rockies, Beyond Crisis
From Washington to Idaho, Oregon to Colorado, statewide immigrant justice movements are not only mobilizing in defense—they are organizing for long-term power, systemic policy change, and community resilience. Traditionally, national funders have focused on resourcing national level movement infrastructure and capacities and oftentimes, it is place-based funders who are able to resource at a local level. Given the escalating attacks and the need for increased statewide and localized coordination, this briefing will explore the role of the sweet spot in the middle: Funding statewide coalitions that build an important bridge between the local grassroots and national movement infrastructure.
Join us on June 18 at 11:30am MT for a funder briefing that highlights the proactive, cross-state efforts of immigrant rights groups in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Colorado. We’ll hear directly from leaders at Oregon For All, Poder of Idaho, OneAmerica (WA), and the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) about the movement infrastructure they are building, the community-led policy wins they’re achieving, and the opportunities funders have to support this critical work beyond moments of crisis.

This conversation will spotlight how immigrant rights organizations are shaping local democracy, influencing state-level policy, and forging multiracial alliances to protect workers, expand access to healthcare, defend democracy, and safeguard the environment. It will also explore how national funders can align with both national infrastructure and local movement-building—recognizing that sustained investment in place-based power is key to long-term impact.
This event is for funders looking to:
-
Understand the unique and urgent needs facing immigrant communities in the Northwest and Mountain West;
-
Learn how statewide immigrant rights conveners are organizing in response to—and beyond—the harm and targeting being imposed from the federal level down;
-
Identify tangible opportunities to fund long-term movement building, not just crisis response, in immigrant communities.
This event is hosted by Integrated Rural Strategies Group at Neighborhood Funders Group in partnership with Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR), Oregon Immigrant & Refugee Funders Collaborative, Philanthropy Colorado, and Philanthropy Northwest.
