Facilitating with Purpose: Effective Internal and External Meetings

Whether you're leading internal team check-ins, grantee meetings, stakeholder convenings or multi-partner collaborations, strong facilitation skills can transform meetings from routine to results-driven. This interactive training will equip participants with practical tools and strategies to plan, lead and follow up on meetings that foster clarity, engagement and accountability.

We’ll discuss principles of effective facilitation and how to set a standard of facilitation for your organization before learning and practicing a range of facilitation methods for meetings of various sizes, members and purposes. This session blends instruction, peer learning and hands-on practice to build confidence and effectiveness.

The full-day training is led by partners MDC, a catalytic organization that accelerates equitable change through research, convenings and strategic support. MDC works in four key areas of: Leadership & Philanthropy; Educational Equity; Economic Security & Mobility; Rural Prosperity & Investment.  They have specific work experience with place-based funder strategies in Colorado.
