Philanthropy Colorado will host a virtual member gathering this Friday.
On the first part of the call, we’ll get an update about state initiatives on equitable vaccine distribution from:
- Jill Hunsaker Ryan, Executive Director of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
- Rick Palacio, Strategic Advisor to Governor Polis and Co-Chair of COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Taskforce
We’ll leave some time for members to share your work around supporting vaccine efforts and we’ll then shift to a conversation about what foundations can do to support AAPI communities, particularly in light of recent violence and a call for March 26 to be a national day to speak out against Asian-American hate. Jin Tsuchiya (Public Policy Officer at The Colorado Health Foundation) will provide some insights and resources for us in his role as the co-chair of the new Rocky Mountain Chapter of AAPIP. We’ll also hold space to process the events in Boulder and what can be done in moving forward.
