Climate Equity: Part I

Join interested member colleagues for the next quarterly Climate Action Philanthropy Network meeting, which provides opportunities for sharing and potential collaboration on ways to address climate issues through philanthropic grants, investments, advocacy and policy change. 

The April quarterly meeting will focus on how the impact of climate change has an even greater health and societal impact on communities of color. It will include information on who is bringing clean energy and resilient infrastructure that lower greenhouse gasses and other hazardous emissions to communities most at risk. There will be time for Q&A throughout the forum. The featured speakers for this meeting include: 

City and State Leaders: 
•    Elizabeth Babcock, Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency, City and County of Denver
•    Gabi Boehm & Morgan Cameron, Colorado Department of Public Health Environmental Justice Grant Program & Environment Justice Task Force

Community Leaders:

•    Sarah Wentzel-Fisher, Quivira Coalition

Invited: Ute Mountain Ute Tribe representative

Climate Equity: Part II on July 26 at 9:30-11:00am will build on this understanding of the intersection between climate change and racial justice to explore funding and investment opportunities.
