The Impact Investing Forum provides a peer space for Philanthropy Colorado members with an active interest in sharing and learning about impact investing trends and emerging models. The group meets quarterly to exchange information on deal opportunities and to hear from guest speakers on various topics such as social impact bonds and alternative forms of investment. The meeting will highlight examples of “cash deposits” as a form of impact investing. We’ll hear about how you can put cash assets to work in ways that support your mission and learn from Catherine Toner at Gary Community Ventures about a new initiative called Mission Driven Deposits, which involves using cash deposits as guarantees for innovative financial solutions. Sue Dorsey at Gates Family Foundation will also share information about its cash deposit at Clean Energy Credit Union. We’ll leave time for exchanging information on other topics or deals you’re working on.
