Survey Information: Since 2012, Commonfund and the Council on Foundations have combined studies to create the Council on Foundations-Commonfund Study of Investment of Endowments for Private and Community Foundations® (CCSF). The newly released 2022 study examines investment and governance policies, practices and results at more than 270 U.S. private and community foundations, representing over $119 billion in assets. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive annual survey of investment and governance practices applied across foundations to serve as a benchmark to leverage for your own analysis and internal discussions each year. The survey topics covered are returns and investment objective, asset allocation, investment policies, responsible investment practices, gifts, fund flows, resources, management, and governance.

Anita Hariton

President and CEO, Commonfund Securities

Anita Hariton is President and CEO of Commonfund Securities, Inc. and Head of Client Engagement for Commonfund OCIO, providing oversight to the sales, service and RFP teams and processes. She is a member of the Commonfund OCIO Executive Group where she contributes to the overall strategic and operational direction of Commonfund’s OCIO business. Prior to joining Commonfund OCIO, Anita served as Head of Investor Services for CF Private Equity where her team was responsible for investor portfolio reviews, investor communications, client reporting, RFP responses, and special projects. Prior to moving into this role, she held a series of positions across the Commonfund organization, serving on the operations, treasury, and client relationship teams and leading clients through decisions on asset allocation, investment policy, treasury management and governance. Anita previously served eight years as a Trustee for Temple Israel, Westport, four as Executive Vice President. She has a B.M. from Susquehanna University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Fairfield University. Anita is a member of the Private Equity Women’s Investor Network.

 

Paige Rabalais, CAIA

Managing Director

Paige L. Rabalais is a member of the Commonfund OCIO Sales and Service team. She is responsible for the development of outsourced CIO solutions across endowments, foundations, healthcare organizations and other nonprofits throughout the United States. Prior to joining Commonfund, she managed institutional relationships with Neuberger Berman in New York, NY and Strategic Value Partners in Greenwich, CT. Previously, Paige was a senior regional marketing associate with Putnam Investments in Boston, MA. She earned a B.S. in Business Management from Babson College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Tulane University. Paige holds Series 6, 7, 30, 31, 63 and 65 licenses. Additionally, she has achieved the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing and has been awarded the Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst designation. Currently, she is a Director of the YWCA of the City of New York where she serves as co-chair of the investment committee. Paige also served as former board member of Oldfields School in Glencoe, MD on the investment committee.
