Broadband Funder Interest Group

Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 3:00 - 4:30 PM

This is a meeting of the Philanthropy Colorado Broadband Interest Group, which is open to any interested funder. Our goal is to gain action-oriented understanding of the role philanthropy can play in supporting broadband access and adoption, with an emphasis on rural Colorado.

The main focus of the April meeting will be to further explore and dialogue about funder interests and alignment, including: TA and capacity building, coalition building (local and state level), and acting as an advocate/connector/convener.

We will be joined by Bernadine Joselyn with the Blandin Foundation to discuss and learn from their decades of experience working at the state and community level on rural broadband. For background, read "What Policymakers Can Learn From the ‘Minnesota Model’ of Broadband Expansion."

In addition, for a part of this meeting, the San Luis Valley Development Resources Group and Broadband Planning Committee will join us to share their plans moving forward and opportunities for funder support and partnership to advance broadband efforts in the region.

Please contact  Amy Swiatek to send along your interests and ideas for future meetings, as well as to access information on past meetings and be added to the broadband funder listserv.
